Early Medieval 8th Century English Celtic Cross Fragment

This Celtic Cross Fragment at 18 inches high would have been the top piece of a Celtic Cross from Northern England. It’s double sided with its Northern facing side more worn but still intact. Carved from English Sandstone this important fragment is typical of the 7/8th Century Yorkshire / Lancashire in the North of England where similar pieces have been found and are in museums or still in situ. Piece is intended to be mounted as a free standing Sculpture.
